LUGAR FUTURO
LUGAR FUTURO FESTIVAL aims to promote young dance creators and performers and be a platform for the debut of “new works”, as well as for the replacement of “first works” by dance students or young choreographers, thus promoting itself the discovery of new values by the invited programmers.
The weekend program, with artistic direction by Leonor Keil, will consist of the presentation of shows, master classes and a closing meeting, in a perspective of exchange of experiences between the invited schools, students, teachers, creators and interpreters participants, in an effective sharing with the audience of Viseu.
One of the highlights will be the presentation of a selected set of First Works by young portuguese and foreign choreographers, which promises to surprise by the diversity “and freshness” of the proposals.
The Lugar Futuro Festival presents itself as a vibrant platform for young artists and for renowned choreographers, aiming at a continuous opening of the public to contemporary dance.

ERASMUS +
As part of the project Erasmus Five Days to Dance (2018 - 2020), students from the 3rd cycle of elementary and secondary education at the Lugar Presente Dance School and Emídio Navarro Secondary School will participate in intensive weeks of dance activities , together with German and Spanish students of the same educational levels. These activities are directed by the German dance company De Loopers Tanztheater.

Regularly, short-term intensive courses of various artistic disciplines are scheduled throughout the year. All workshops will be announced in our main page.
ATELIÊS
During the school holidays, leisure activities and small artistic courses are usually provided for our students and external students. All Holiday Ateliers will be announced in our main page.
PRESENTATIONS
SHOWS
At the end of each school year, students present their works produced within the scope of various disciplines at the stage of Teatro Viriato and in other spaces in the city, demonstrating their training throughout the year.
WORLD DANCE DAY
The celebration of this day (April 29) is symbolically very important for us, so we will always have special activities open to all audiences on this day.
RESIDENCIES
Lugar Presente regularly welcomes artists in a creative residence, according to our availability of spaces. Proposals can be sent by e-mail or postal mail, after which they will be evaluated by the Direction of Lugar Presente for their scheduling.
